6 months!

I can't believe Reid is 6 months old. It seems like we've had him forever, but then again, I remember being in the hospital perfectly. He is getting so big. He's so tall and skinny, just like his daddy. At his 4 month checkup, they said he was the length of a 7 month old but was very skinny for his age. I'm anxious to hear how he measures up at this month's appointment. I love how he reaches for us now and gets so excited to see us after being away from us for a few hours. He is sitting up slowly, but falling over a lot. He loves watching Baby Einstein - World Animals is his favorite. He is so happy in the morning, and it's hard to be mad even when he wakes me up at 5:30 because he's smiling so big. I can't wait to watch him grow even more in the next 6 months. We are in love with him!

Mr. Reid

Life sure has changed since our new family addition. Wowee, I knew it was going to be tough, but I don't think anyone can prepare you for such a life changing thing. Our lives revolve around Reid, and I can't believe that the world is letting us take care of him. That's scary! We are more and more in love with him everyday and are so thankful that he is here...but can't wait until he can sleep through the night!

He is smiling and laughing now, which makes life more enjoyable. He is growing so fast and getting so chubby. I was worried that he wasn't getting enough to eat.. what a joke. His cheeks and double chin prove otherwise.

The only thing I wish we could change is living closer to home. I feel like he is definitely getting jipped by only getting held by me or Kyle. He misses his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. So do we. :)

Just some stuff.

I know you guys missed me and my posts, so I'll update you all.

I started my new job as an Executive Assistant in December at INOVA Federal Credit Union, and I absolutely LOVE it! It's amazing how you can go from thinking you have to keep working a job you don't really care for, to actually enjoy going to work (most days)! I have been given a lot of responsibility with preparing for the opening of the Lerner Theater in Elkhart. Check it out at www.lernertheater.org . My boss is the greatest guy ever - and he actually appreciates me!

Kyle has been working full time third shift (midnight to 8am) at the South Bend Airport Weather Office. It's been so nice for both of us to have full time jobs. Unfortunately, he may lose his job this fall. We're hoping for the best since things are going really well for us here.

On a lighter note, Kyle's sister, Monica, had her first baby on Tuesday night. We went and saw him yesterday and he is just the cutest little guy ever with a ton of hair on his head! Baby fever, here I come!!

Last weekend we rode in the ADEC Bike-a-thon on behalf of Kyle's uncle, Bob Jean, who passed away earlier this year. He lived at ADEC and had an awesome life because of them. It was so fun to see everyone and see how much Bob meant to them. Plus, at the end, there were the most adorable handicapped adults cheering us on with thank-you posters. :)

Anddddd, we're opening our pool this weekend. Wahoo!
