Fighting Irish

So tomorrow my journey at Lake City Bank will come to an end. I have decided to move on with my career (hopefully) and get out of the banking world. I have applied at a few colleges for administrative positions and one has finally gotten back to me. Notre Dame! I had a phone interview on Thursday afternoon and by the time I got home from work, I had an email saying that they would like to meet with me in person for a second interview on campus! I go in on Monday and can't wait to see what comes out of it! I'm ready to feel important again. I think I deserve it!

SEE ADDLE

Kyle and I have been in Seattle since Thurs, the 17th and are now in Portland until Wed. We've had so much fun on our vacation, relaxing, exploring, and eating delicious food! We flew out of WI and were planning on catching our connecting flight in TN. When we got to the airport they asked us if we'd be willing to change our plans and fly to Minnesota instead. We would get there an hour earlier, fly first class, and get $600 in Delta vouchers. We thought about it for about .0001 seconds and finally agreed. It was pretty much an amazing birthday gift!

On Thursday we went to the Seattle Aquarium which was super cool then ate seafood for lunch. We also got to go to the famous local market where Travis' brother got sniffed by a homeless man telling him that he smelled like a millionaire. And we laughed. Since Travis and my birthday are on the same day, we went to a delicious wood-fired pizza place for dinner to celebrate where I had the best and only blood orange crush martini.

On Friday we went on top of a really tall building that overlooked the city and the water. In the evening we went to see Cirque du Soleil. It was soooo much fun!

Saturday was the Fremont Solstice parade which is famous for tons of people painting their naked bodies and riding their bikes down the street. Needless to say it was hilarious. I'm pretty sure I've never seen so many naked bodies and pretty sure I'll never see so many ever again.

On Sunday Travis and Danielle made us a delicious fresh seafood feast and we had a great time talking and hanging out.

It was great to be able to see Seattle, but our time is through and now we've started our adventure in Portland. Yayyy!!! And thank goodness we still have a whole week of vacation!!

Little People, Big World

Kyle and I bought our plane tickets for June, so our vacation is OFFICIAL!!!!! Wahoo!!! No beach, though. :( :( :( We are flying to Seattle on June 16th and spending time with Kyle's brother Travis and his wife Danielle. We were wanting to drive to Oregon and go camping for a few days, but we are kind of undecided. There are definitely a lot of things we could do for the whole week in Seattle, I'm sure. We really wanted to go to the Roloff farm, but unfortunately they are only open for pumpkin season. boooo.

I had visions of a long interesting post, but I guess our lives are pretty lame!!

Hey, remember us?!

Kyle and I are really enjoying marriage. We still feel like newlyweds, which is fabulous. In other words, we are not planning on having children anytime soon.

We are trying to plan a vacation in June to travel to San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA!!!! We're so excited and hope to be able to even save up enough money to go. Otherwise, we'll sit on our couch all week with the curtains closed watching tv. If you'd like to make a donation, I'll give you our bank account number. jk jk jk jk jk jk jk jk.
